The Beck has Launched an Online Store

We’re so excited to announce that the online shop at The Beck is officially up and running! You can visit the website to view and order all the gorgeous, locally made furnishings, including makers that have been on display at our maker space and gallery at The Beck in Rhinebeck, NY.

We are really eager to continue to support all the local artisans that have shared their work with us and the community in our maker’s gallery on Mill Street in the quaint village of Rhinebeck. Just a reminder that lovely handmade lamps and sculptural forms from Perch Objects are currently on display!

Our Product Sample Library is Growing

In other news, we’ve been diligently reorganizing our tile and textiles library this summer. Moving into the new office at The Beck has provided additional opportunities for us to grow and spread out a bit. We love that this space included a basement conference room with floor-to-ceiling bookcases, perfect for the ultimate samples library. The convenience of having so many samples and design inspiration at my fingertips is indispensable! Check out three of my favorite finds below.

Gold + Platinum Zellige

Zellige tile is all the rage right now, but Cle Tile has taken this design trend to the next level with their new line of gold and platinum zellige! Each tile is handpainted with a 24 karat layer, producing a molten, metallic finish that glimmers with richness. I can’t wait to incorporate a few of these into an upcoming project.

Muse in Terracotta

KUFRI textiles’ mission is to “champion the craft of handloom weaving, to provide employment to women and aging weavers, and promote a conscious, beautiful life at home through our products”. I love incorporating products from a brand with such a thoughtful mission! But I’d add that KUFRI’s fabrics are also unique and gorgeous and sustainably woven. Their subtle irregularities allow them to stand out in a room as though they are a genuine piece of handmade art.

Cuffs

Hoffman Hardware handcrafts incredible hardware that transforms the mundane into a distinguished piece of exquisite, custom furniture. Each piece is made by hand in the US by metal artisans. And as a former jewelry designer, I’m moved by the fact that female owner and designer, Krista Hoffman, takes much of her design inspiration from vintage jewelry!
