One Room Challenge - Week 2

Let’s talk about why we chose our office for the challenge and even why we chose this office.

My husband and I live full time in the Hudson Valley, and we had a small office in a corporate building in Rhinebeck. Although most of my work was in the city, since moving here in 2017 I’ve tried to implement local makers into my designs. Much like I did when I lived in Brooklyn because as “selectors” we should entice our clients to shop local. It also creates a beautiful story for the items they collect through their lifetime. I kept one eye open for a property with a storefront to work from but to also showcase local makers. Luckily, one became available right when my husband’s office lease was up and we moved into this space together.

Here we are, The Beck, representing Rhinebeck and the Hudson Valley.
