Happy New Year - The Beck is LIVE!

We’ve completed the renovations and the furnishings are installed. The Design Gallery is up and running, showcasing fresh, local designers. Look at the joy on our smiling faces and contentment from accomplishment radiating. Come inside and take a peek at our latest project, The Beck!

The Beck, located in historic downtown Rhinebeck, NY, is a by-appointment Design Gallery created to showcase Hudson Valley makers and artists. This new creative hub will amplify the voices of local creatives and provide an engaging way for both residents and visitors to tap into the pulse of the region.

The Beck also houses the office of Ana Claudia Design Studio and my husband’s accounting firm, Smyle & Associates, LLC.

There’s so much to get excited about in this space, but I’d really like to share the local makers that helped bring it to life. The black, custom armoire was created by Braxton Alexander, whom I’ve worked with on several projects now. His craftsmanship is second to none and he’s also very professional and easy to work with. The coffee table from Taylor Forrest sits atop a hand painted hide rug by local artisan Rowan Willigan. And let’s not forget the entry chandelier and pendants by famed Hudson Valley lighting designer, Workstead.

My husband’s office features another extraordinary piece by Braxton Alexander, this live edge executive desk with butterfly joints. The bathroom received an update with white walls, geometric tile and a touchless faucet. Phaedo Design was our first featured maker in the Design Gallery, and wow, Morgan’s work really lit up the space. Phaedo’s cantilever arm chair is also on display in the Smyle & Associates office.

My workspace features a gorgeous custom desk by Phaedo Design and hand painted mural by
Floe Painting. This space is cozy, but light-filled and tidy. Just how I like to work. The mural is a bit intoxicating in person, with it’s jewel toned dreaminess and creates a distinct background for online meetings. I absolutely love working here!
