While self-described as a design practice specializing in historically-informed lighting and homewares, I assure you Quittner is so much more. At their Germantown, NY warehouse, you will find an eclectic and rare assortment of both old and new lighting, housewares, textiles, art, and gifts. Adjacent you’ll find the workshop, a space dedicated to restoration services for antique, vintage, and European lamps, sconces, pendants, and chandeliers. Here the focus is on light fixture design and restoration. They also offer re-wiring for existing fixtures as well as pre-restoration consultations for historic lighting. Breathe new life into old family treasures or let Quittner design new ones.

I love the industrial simplicity of the Hallie Surface Mount Light. Appropriate anywhere you need a subdued “pop”.
For me the Small Surface Light is all about the vintage inspired chord detail. It’s also petite, branded, and absolutely perfect!
If you need uplighting, the Lex Floor Lamp is my number one pick. The black walnut construction is rich and it’s thoughtfully sized for use on the floor or a tabletop.
The detailing on the Library Lamp’s hand-thrown porcelain shade is muted yet stunning. I’m already planning a spot for this classic lamp in my own home.
